Video project for the Through The Window Online exhibition

Through The Window started as an online project in 2020, aiming to support queer artists from Turkey, the Netherlands and beyond and to grow by thinking, producing and having fun together, and to expand the interaction network with the facilitation of photographer and curator Ömer Tevfik Erten, Dutch philosopher and writer Simon(e) van Saarloos and artist, LGBTQIA+ rights activist Kübra Uzun, and with the support from the Consulate General of the Netherlands in Istanbul. Through the Window have already completed its second and third terms with the support of the Prince Claus Fund and each term takes two months. Designing online exhibitions, talks, workshops and parties with all its components, Through The Window focuses on equality, diversity and unity.

Akış Ka participated the 2020 online exhibition of Through the Window project with a video art work titled The Fall.

In the process of looking at the world outside our house through a window or a screen, Akış Ka is a window girl, the princess of the fall(ing)s. Akış Ka's journey fall(ing). Akış Ka treats falling as a form of action and a form of thought and performs research through the fall. Lives the fall(ing)s we experience with the Covid 19 process by falling.
